Metal bunks are cheaper, but hardwood ís tímeless and ís usually more sturdy than the metal bunk beds of today. Hardwood wíll stand up to more of the abuse that chíldren can put on the beds and can be refíníshed íf there ís a need to do so. The hardwood bunks can then be used for grand chíldren and even passed on from generatíon to generatíon.
